The challenge

Our client managed pricing and quotations through an Excel model with extensive macros, branching rules and internal approvals. Different entities, partners, currencies, FX rates and pricing levels made it difficult to maintain and heavily dependent on the product manager.

What we delivered

  • Converted the spreadsheet process into a secure, hosted application where the sales team can select products, configure requirements and generate indicative quotes.
  • Built pricing rules for partners, entities, service levels, currencies, FX rates and discounts.
  • Added workflows for discount and exception approvals, alongside admin controls for maintaining products, prices and rules.
  • Designed the platform to expand from one product to multiple products and bundled solutions, with ongoing support.

Business value

Gives the sales team a consistent way to configure and quote across a growing portfolio. Moves pricing rules and approvals into a managed system, reducing reliance on a complex spreadsheet and one product manager. Lets our client update products and pricing without rebuilding the application.
